What is it really like to build your own house from scratch? And what should you pay attention to when choosing to build with straw? Come to the open house at Frederik Birkø in Bryrup, where he and his father, Arne Birkø, are building Frederik's future house in their spare time.
It is a true self-build project, and right now the construction has reached an exciting stage, where EcoCocon's wood-straw elements are still visible.
On the day, you can hear Frederik and Arne talk about their experiences with building it yourself - from the first thoughts to the actual construction and Lars Keller from EcoCocon will give insight into how to build with wood-straw elements, and examples of other realised projects
There will be plenty of time for questions, chat and to explore the construction. So you will have the opportunity to see the construction up close while it is still visible.
