The Built by Nature Summit is the organisation’s annual flagship gathering, convening leaders from industry, finance, policy and philanthropy to reflect on progress and shape the next phase of action on biobased building. This year it comes to Barcelona as part of the World Capital of Architecture 2026, coinciding with World Architecture Day, under the theme “Housing the World, without Costing the Earth” — how to deliver housing at scale within planetary boundaries.
Gabriel Patricio Kosowski, director of EcoCocon España, will be attending. Housing at scale is exactly the brief the prefabricated straw wall panel system is built for, with a record that runs from single-family houses to the 12-storey residential building in Malmö, Sweden, which is the tallest to use the system. Gabriel is there for conversations with developers, architects, investors and policymakers about moving biobased housing from pilot projects to repeatable delivery.
